San Diego Magician makes Videos
Hi Everyone!~
I have just finished editing 14 videos of my performance. These are different than what most magicians ever post. What I have done is to publish a significant “chunk” of my magic show for your entertainment on the Internet. I am hoping that people will watch and like what they see enough to “commission” me to bring my stuff and perform for their group!
I really didn’t hold anything back either. I performed for adults and kids and video taped those shows. Keep in mind that I do not do the same “effects” for children that I do for adults. All of my performances are age appropriate so, kids will see what kids love best!
I became a Magician as an adult so, I was attracted to the idea of performing for adults. Not necessarily adult content but adult intellect level and sophistication. In other words I wanted to perform the Magic that grabbed me as an adult. I am doing just that now and with a lot of success as well.
Something else happened along the way . . . I started a family. Yes, children. Two to be exact. One of each. Note: If you say “one of each” with three children you can get a laugh! Cheap laugh but a laugh none the less. So, I was talking about something happening. Yes, my daughter happened. Kids are great for the ego!
My daughter thought that I was a Magician because I’m her daddy. Everything I did was special, Magical by default! I could build a birdhouse, present treats and drive her magically to another location in a machine. Every dad is a raving Magician to their children until they become teenagers but that’s another story.
Anyway, I found some great magic to show to children, especially my daughter and that was my start. Over the years I built quite a few original “props” I use in my shows today. My daughter was a lot of my inspiration to do children’s performances. She was my “advisor” as well. If she didn’t like something about a particular effect, I would work on it until she liked it. Often, through her inspiration, I would take it a step or two further just to impress her.
Today my daughter Cristina basically knows most of my secrets. She is smart and she’s 24 so she has had her whole life to uncover my “secrets”. Honestly, she probably knows all my magic as well as I do. I just would like to think once-in-a-while that I could impress her like I did when she was little. I truly loved being a “Magic” dad for her.
For the title of this blog, keep your eyes open and come on back to this blog often. Soon, Very soon I will be posting my videos right here! My goal is to post over one hundred magic videos to this blog in the coming year!
